Zilker Park and Train Ride

Viviane kept telling me about the Zilker Park and the supposedly huge fantastic large swimming area called the Barton Springs Pool fed by underground springs. Well it is just a big concrete pool with some grass and one spot with sand dumped on it. We decided that there was no swimming that day. So we took the kiddy train that sent along the road on one side and trees on the other so we didn't get to see much of the Lady Bird Lake. But we did find a stop to take a great photo of downtown Austin. We called Michael to pick us up and Viviane and I hiked down a bunch of huge rocks and took some photos to Austin on Lady Bird Lake. It is actually a dammed up portion of the Colorado river, making a nice body of water through downtown Austin!
A tight fit, well it is for children!
