Here
is a good picture of the type of people selling their wares along side
the road as we traveled to Ankara!
The buildings behind us were homes of
the Jewish population that were made to move from Turkey during one of
its purges. We saw this as we were leaving Cappadocia and the
subterranean cities. There is one huge hill of empty houses that
have never been moved into again. It was very spooky as it was twilight
and the dimming light made the hill look lonely and out of the
ordinary.
