I boarded a United 747 in San Francisco and flew 12 hours to Frankfurt. There was a five hour lay over and then a three and one half hour flight to Istanbul. A Gate 1 employee picked us up after we bought our visa and off to the hotel and dinner. A much deserved rest was needed after such a long flight!
