Mary Ellen's parents were a favorite of mine!  Especially her mother Cora, my mother's sister.  Cora was always kind and Mary Ellen said she thought a lot of me.  So nice to hear.  Mary Ellen and her husband travel around the country doing estimates on vintage cars and I hope they will be out on the west coast sometime to visit me!  Mary Ellen still lives in the same house that I remember after 40 years!   So goes things in Freeport.  She took us to lunch at the Mechanics Shed and of course, we had a regular mid-west breakfast!  We talked for over five hours and we could have talked some more.  I forgot to take our pictures so, until Mary Ellen sends my an update, the above one will have to do.  She also was so kind and gave my sister and myself quilts made by our grandmother!  (Can you believe it, who do you think had this picture?  My friend Frans in Holland.  We sent it to him almost 55 years ago.  He thought it was my favorite sister, Yvonne!  Check the story out on my Netherlands link, a very interesting story!)
