Obituary:  Mrs. Esther C. (James) Engle, 74, of Sun City, Arizona, formerly of Freeport, died January 20 in Sun City.  While in Freeport, she was employed by Rawleigh Company.  She moved to Sun City from Monroe City Missouri, seven years ago.  She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Sun City.  Born March 23, 1909, in Pearl City, she was the daughter of Martin and Anna (Gast) Peterson.

Surviving are her husband, James "Vic"; one brother, John Peterson of Pearl City; and two sisters, Cora Blum of Rockford and Evelyn Garrett of Mexico Missouri.  She was preceded in death by one sister.  Memorial service will be held at a later date at Monroe City.  Burial was in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements were completed by Menke Funeral Home, Sun City.  A memorial fund has been established for Sun City Hospice.

 Engle, James V., 91, of Sun City died Jan. 29,2006, in Sun City.

He and his wife, Marion, were from Missouri and he was a supervisor with a telephone company.

He served in the Army.

Mass will be celebrated at 10am,Thursday in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W. Palmeras Lane in Sun City.
