Monkey Pox Vaccination - 2022.08.19
I was one of the first in line for the Monkey Pox Vaccination at the San Francisco General Hospital. I arrived at 7:30 a.m. and had to fill out a form and wait until the doors opened at 8:00 a.m. I am glad I got there early even though I had to wait almost 20 minutes because by the time it was close to 8:00 a.m. there were over 60 people in line! The hospital workers were very pleasant and helpful. I was on their data base as I have done numerous research projects there. Once the door opened there were at least six vaccination stations open.
They did inform me if one wants a second vaccination after 298 days, one must have your doctor sign a form indicating you have an immune deficiency. I'm not sure how one gets the second vaccination but from what I heard, if there is a shortage of the vaccine, only people who have an immune deficiancy will be given the next dose when available!

The nurse told me to call the numbers on the pamphlet or check the website if I had problems or questions. Had to laugh, each station only had one pamphlet so she took my phone and took a photo of the pamphlet. I had to email it to me from my phone as I don't have an Apple device to sync together to share photos and so on.
